VOLTO
Welcome to Edition #1 of Volto Magazine. My goal is to share selected works from my archive, spanning genres from celebrity portraiture to reportage and action photography. All too frequently just one or two images from a big shoot are used leaving a substantial set of “out-takes” that rarely get seen. I’ve always had a deep-seated passion for books & print magazines and feel that print is still the best way to fully appreciate quality photography.
In the first edition of Volto, I was keen to showcase some of the images shot a couple of years back of Keith Flint, RIP. The Prodigy front man was, and will always be, a true British pop culture icon and an ever-present part of the soundtrack of my youth. Everyone’s favourite/most hated US President, Donald Trump, also gets an outing. I spent the day with Donald at his golf course a few miles north of Aberdeen, Scotland, just before he threw his red hat in the ring to become the Republican Party nominee for the Presidential Elections of 2016.
Edition#1 also showcases exclusive shoots with cycling maverick Patrick Seabase, ultra-athlete Sean Conway, Michael Owen, golfing great Rory McIlroy, and England rugby head coach, Eddie Jones. There are also reportage stories on Oakland’s infamous East Bay Rats and a two-wheeled road trip across Morocco.
